For logged in users: Digioh retrieves the email address from the cookie record or HTML source.

For logged out or new users Digioh employs a combination of tactics:

  • Javascript event listeners that will capture any emails entered into a form or the first page of checkout...even if the form is not submitted
  • Any other Digioh forms on the site
  • Via an email merge tag parameter in your ESP

The GDPR only allows transactional emails to be sent to logged-in visitors. To help you with compliance, Digioh recognizes whether a visitor is in the EU, and triggers cart abandonment emails to logged in users, only.
